Hi there. My name’s Kim, but friends call me Kimbo, Kimbosue, and Kimmie.
This blog is mainly a place for me to dump out my thoughts, feelings, experiences about life in Texas, mommyhood, making wine, baking, and everyday randomness. But I hope to do so in a humorous manner that keeps you coming back for more. I also love to use parenthesis for emphasis (it’s a bad habit – see?). I hope you enjoy my new space here at WP.
I had a workplace romance at my first job out of college, and married Dean in 2005 on the sunny beaches of Jamaica. He’s 23 years older than me (don’t be hatin’) and has a daughter who is 5 months younger than me, a son who’s 4 years younger than me, and an 12 year old granddaughter. I’m also a 30′s something new mother (April 2009) to a wonderful baby boy named Miles (named after Miles Davis – Dean’s a professionally retired (5 times) trumpet player). We struggled through infertility for a year and a half before reaching out to an RE. Diagnosis was multi-fold: varicocele, slight PCOS, and annovulation. After meds, injections, and 4 IUI’s, we got our BFP.
Miles is such a blessing and a joy to have in our lives. I can’t believe how whole I feel now that I have my very own baby to love and adore. Our family is now complete!

You know, I knew Dean was older but he looks damn good for his age!!! LOL
Think you’d ever want another baby?
LOL – I told him what you said and he just smiled… I have the baby fever as we speak, but I don’t think it’s in the cards for us. Given Dean’s age and all… I am not sure I want to be pushing his wheelchair around while he is holding a newborn! HA – just kidding that is our running joke about it. As it is (this month and after Miles is eating regular food) I can order 1 adult meal, 1 kids meal and 1 senior meal!!!!
I found you again! I used to follow your blog on blogger. But when we both had our little ones around the same time, I lost touch. I’ve finally started blogging regularly again and am able to follow blogs again! Can’t wait to catch up, Miles has grown into such a cutie!
